Sticky Pork Belly

This sticky pork is so delicious and versatile! add it to your meal, a salad or a sandwich! sticky, sweet, melt in your mouth SO GOOD

  • About 10 slices pork belly
  • 1 onion sliced
  • half a carrot shopped
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • a few slices of ginger
  • chive
  • water
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Rice wine

  • 1.5 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced
  • 1 red chili, minced or chili flakes
  • 2 Tbsp honey
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp soy sauce
  • salt and black pepper to taste

  1. Cook slow cooker ingredients for about 5 hours, add enough water to cover meat.
  2.  Drain and pat slices of pork dry (the liquid can be saved for soup!!)
  3.  Heat pan to medium and add half of oil. Mix remaining glaze ingredients seperately. Add pork to hot oil and fry with salt and pepper. When pork is brown, pour glaze mixture and stir to cover, cook until thickens and sticky
  4. Add to a sandwich with pickled and fresh vegetables, or to noodles or even a rice bowl!
